Business Planning
With a Certified Financial Planner™, you can rest with ease knowing that your finances are being managed by a professional approved by the Certified Financial Planner™ Board of Standards. Certified Financial Planners undergo constant certification, continuing education, and ethics reviews to ensure proper qualification. In order to receive this certification, our CFP® completes extensive training and experience requirements and is reviewed by the rigorous ethics standards board each year.
As a CFP®, Kevin stays updated on the most current pressing issues facing our economy, and his passion for investment allows him to bring you the best advice and services in the industry. Kevin is certified in the areas of Financial Planning, Investments, Retirement Planning, Estate Planning, Taxation, Insurance as well as Employee Benefits.
The Four E’s
As expressed by the CFP® Board, four E’s differentiate a Certified Financial Planner™ from a regular financial advisor or broker. They are Education, Examination, Experience, and Ethics.
Education: Unlike their non-certified counterparts, CFP®s must accumulate extensive knowledge by completing a personal financial planning curriculum offered by the accredited Financial Planning Board. Once the certification has been completed, the CFP® must fulfill continuing education requirements directly relevant to personal financial planning every two years in order to maintain the designation.
Examination: Once course requirements have been fulfilled, the individual must pass the comprehensive CFP® certification exam. With a low pass rate of 56%, this exam covers the broad spectrum of financial planning, which includes but is not limited to, tax planning, employee benefits, retirement planning, estate planning, investment management and varying insurance services.
Experience: Before an individual can begin the course work to become a Certified Financial Planner™, he or she must have three years of experience within the financial planning field. This ensures that members have sufficient background knowledge of the industry as well as applicable hands-on experience. With over 15 years in the business, Kevin has developed a clear understanding of how to apply client’s goals in the financial markets.
Ethics: With a CFP® professional you are held to the highest of standards, with the Code of Ethics outlining the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism and diligence. Certified Financial Planners put the best interest of the clients in the forefront of business models to ensure satisfaction and clarity.
